Welcome to the 2026 Westbury Show
Something rare is coming to the Westbury Show this year!
The 2026 Westbury Show is embracing the theme Rare … as Hen’s Teeth, celebrating the unusual, the extraordinary and the disappearing traditions that make Tasmania’s agricultural heritage so special.
We’re searching high and low to bring you an unforgettable showcase of rare and heritage animal breeds, unique seeds and plants, traditional crafts, forgotten skills and fascinating exhibits you won’t find every day. And who knows… you might even spot a few hens with teeth!
While you’ll discover plenty of rare treasures, all your Westbury Show favourites will be returning too. Enjoy our renowned horse and kennel competitions, home industries, cattle judging, shearing, woodchopping, the free Kids’ Corner and Animal Nursery, delicious local food, market stalls and a full day of family entertainment.
Whether you’re a long-time showgoer or visiting for the first time, the 2026 Westbury Show promises a fun-filled day celebrating agriculture, community and the rare things worth preserving.

Ticket sales will be cash or EFTPOS at the gates on show day. The show closes at approximately 4 p.m.
The Westbury Show is a smoke-free environment declared by the Public Health Service. Designated Smoking Areas are shown at the venue’s entrance.
Dogs at the Showgrounds
Dogs are welcome at the Showground unless there is an event (Show Day is the exception. Dogs are permitted on Show Day, but they must be on a lead).
If the grounds have been hired for an event, dogs (other than those participating in an event) are not permitted on the grounds. Dogs must always be kept on a lead and please clean up after your dogs and take their waste home with you.
